City bus



The Public Transport within Toulouse is managed by Tisseo.
The site of Tisseo has all the routes and time tables for buses.







Airport shuttle service

Transport to and from the Airport to the City Centre is possible by a Fly bus service of tisseo. 
  • The bus runs every 20 minutes and is quite economical.
  • Bus tickets can be obtained on board or from tisseo ticket outlets or from vending machines located in the metro station.
  • The cost for one way trip from city center to airport or from airport to city center is 5 euros.
    • The same card can also be used to travel on 3 different tisseo networks such as bus, metro within 90 minutes from the first punching.
  • For those who are residing in city center and having offices near Airport Blagnac, this service also offeres, 7 days, 31 days and annual pass at reduced rates. These passes allows unlimited travel on all of the tisseo network.

Bus service for Haute-Garonne region

  • To travel in the Haute-Garonne region (about 50-70km around Toulouse) there are buses from 
    • Gare Routière, 68/70 Bd Pierre Semard, 31500 Toulouse, Tel: 05 61 61 67 67

    • This is normally quite cheap (about 2 euros) for travel around the Toulouse region.

    Metro (Subway train)

    There are three subway or metro lines operated by Tisseo within Toulouse

    Train\Railway

     The railway station (Gare Matabiau) and the Bus Station (Gare Routiere) are connected by the Metro Ligne A (Stop Marengo SNCF).
     
      To book your railway tickets in France visit the SNCF website and IDTGV website.

      The TER network is a good choice for travel in the Midipyrenees region.

    Taxi

    Taxis in France do not have a unique colour, they are normal cars with a small light at the Top indicating that it is a Taxi. There are several taxi stands located thoughout Toulouse, day and night, at places such as Place Wilson, Gare Matabiau, and Place Esquirol. During the day only, there are also taxi stands in operation at Place du Capitole, Place Jeanne d'Arc, Place des Carmes and Place St. Cyprien. A trip from Toulouse Centre to the Airport (or reverse) costs between Euros 20,00 - 25,00, depending upon the point of pick-up or destination. If travelling with luggage, a separate fee will normally be charged (about Eur 1 per bag).

    Bicycle on rent

    Vélo Toulouse

      For a short term rent, from 0 to 30 minutes,  and to move within city limits of Toulouse Velo Toulouse is the best system for hire. There are also plenty of cycle stands in the city.  Each cycle is equipped with a dynamo lights in front and rare, a locking mechanism with dedicated key, 3 speed gears, adjustable seat and carriage case in the front.  You can rent the cycle easily using your credit or debit card. The cost is 1 euro for the day.     Note: Cycle hire is also possible at La vélo-station Matabiau

     For a long term hire such as 7 days, 31 days or for a year, the association "Maison du velo Toulouse" is the best option. They have more than 300 bicycles including city bikes, VTT, fold-able cycles, etc. The cost is just 5 euros for 7 days. One can also hire helmet, baby seats and insurance against the theft.
